Weight: 13 pounds 4.4 ounces
Height: 26.5 inches {97%tile!}
Clothing Size: We had a few newborn items that fit him and those have been put away for a few weeks. The 0-3 clothing is getting put away one by one. The 3 month clothing fits like a glove so it's only a matter of time that I'll need to pull out the 3-6 month clothing.
Sleep: We're getting anywhere from 3.5 hours to 5 hours at night and then he sleeps every 2 hours until we're up for the day around 8 or 9 depending on his timing. Naps during the day vary from cat naps 20-45 minutes to 2 hours.
Eating: We're still breastfeeding and it's going really well. I've started to put a little stash away for daycare in March. He's eating anywhere from every 45 minutes to every 2 hours, depending on his mood or hunger that day. I'm feeding on demand so sometimes I don't keep track of how long it's been since he last ate.
Likes:
- His bouncy chair. He loves to chill out in the chair and kick like a mad man. It's also a great way for him to be on his own for a bit and gives mommy a chance to go to the bathroom or grab a bite to eat with TWO hands! :-)
- He loves looking at other babies- including himself in a mirror. He "talks" to them.
- Smiling. He smiles up a storm and even smiles at strangers. Nothing is better than his first smile of the day.
- Snuggling with mommy or sleeping on daddy's chest
- His new activity mat. It has a kick piano which is pretty neat. Every time he kicks the piano plays and then when he stops kicking it plays a little tune.
- Still loves bouncing on the yoga ball. It's soothing to him. He whines when you stop. We use this mostly when he's trying to fall asleep.
- His pacifier is a great tool! I'm glad he is enjoying it right now and I'm thankful that it soothes him.
- Being on his changing table. He talks up a storm on that thing!
- Sleeping in the Rock 'n Play. :-)
Dislikes:
- Getting out of the bath- it's cold! We've stopped turning on the vent in the bathroom when we bathe him and that helps some. I'm always ready with the towel for when Daddy hands him over.
- When Mommy cleans out his nose. Sorry Buddy, gotta make sure you can breathe!
- He doesn't care to be in the swing for too long. However, last night he was fighting sleep big time and I was bouncing on the yoga ball for what seemed like an eternity so my arms were killing me. He's so heavy! I put him in the swing, turned on the music and the mobile and eventually he fell asleep! This is huge!
Milestones:
- He's holding his head up pretty well
- He can track you with his eyes. I love watching his head move as he follows me
- He found his hand several weeks ago and has been staring at it ever since. It's pretty amazing to watch
- He's been putting his hand in his mouth more and will sometimes find his thumb to suck
- He started drooling last week. Dr. said that could last up to 6 months. Time to break out the bibs!
- He met his Great-Grandad. That was pretty neat to see.
- He met our friend's baby Benjamin.
- He met some more cousins
